The Organisation
Loch Lomond South Community Development Trust (LLSCDT) is a community led, not- for-profit limited by guarantee membership organisation that was established in 2024 to create health, wealth, community empowerment, and well-being opportunities whilst driving economic growth and regeneration in support of the South of Loch Lomond communities.
Future Aims and Ambitions
LLSCDT aims to positively challenge and improve the quality of the lives of the communities it represents. By being the voice in the decision making process and focusing on place-making outcomes, LLSCDT will address key health, well-being, and economic markers that underpin the prosperity of the region. By working In close partnership with its members, statutory/public sector bodies, and government partners, LLSCDT aims to tackle inequalities in line with national policies and guidelines.
Uniquely, we aim to create a responsive trading company, adapting our offer and portfolio and offers to be in tune with the evolving societal, economic, and environmental needs of the local communities and those who visit the area.
LLSCDT has the opportunity to action an asset transfer of several pieces of land and buildings in the West of Balloch, Loch Lomond into community ownership. This offers a unique opportunity for real community health and wealth building to be realised, all whilst driving sustainable economic growth and regeneration for the local economy.
Current positions
LLSCDT will initially appoint a Board of Directors to lead the project through the stages of set up including the asset transfer of land/buildings and to support the Trust as we seek to attract funding, inward investment, broaden our portfolio, and increase our contribution to the local economy and the communities we represent.
A strong and active Board of Directors with an entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to commit time is crucial as we implement our strategy and endeavour to grow; one that is flexible and agile to react quickly to the changing needs and interests of our members and drive an increasing level of profit for the Trust.
The Board will be supported by a subcommittee(s) and volunteers who have actively been working in support of the aims and ambitions of LLSCDT for several months.
Values and Code of Conduct
The LLSCDT Board will agree and publish the Trusts values when appointed.
LLSCDT members, associated members, volunteers and employees will at all times be required to adhere to the code of conduct. The code of conduct is a set of rules that dictate how people should behave when representing the community and requires that at all times, they act in:

LLSCDT is committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion and welcomes applications from everyone regardless of their background. Due to funding remit and constitutional restrictions, at this time we can only accept applications from residents of Balloch and Haldane. We will open up applications for others to join once the Board is established, so if you live out with Balloch or Haldane and wish to register interest in joining the Board, please submit your details via the below form.

All LLSCDT Board roles are on a voluntary basis. Only reasonable and pre-agreed expenses will be paid. Please note that as a Company Ltd By Guarantee, there is no financial liability attached to any of the roles.
